the winter break :)

ok now i can blog :D

the memorable vacation.

the holiday started with me going back to cairo with kak hanis for the zakat(yang macam sangat membazir masa because the pegawai was so effing kerek and told me that the zakat thingy is still in malaysia yada-yada..bila aku balik,kata ada kat sini,bila aku kat sini,kata ada kat malaysia pula!kata nak tolong orang susah!wtf?)

while waiting for the pegawai to come to cairo all the way from zagazig,we went to the book fair (again).



and we went to rumah selangor the next day by bus which cost us for only 50 PIASTRES! (proudddd!!!) all the way from ARMA.(which by cab will cost you almost L.E 15,see how jimat you can be when you use public transport?huhu)

after the whole drama of me nearly crying telling the abg kerani about my late dad,my family etc etc and kecewa over the kerek pegawai,we went back to mansoura the day itself to pack for the next day's trip to luxor which needed us to come back to cairo again because the train is from there.

we wanted to go to luxor and aswan sebab nak lari daripada sejuk yang agak mengecewakan sikit la kesejukan tahun ni tak berapa sejuk.miekk.

honestly i nearly merajuk and wanted to go back mansoura once i heard that the train tickets were fulled.

but after some time of thinking,i decided to go jugak.

we went to luxor by bus.and the kaki was effing aching for the 12 hours of traveling.

once checked in to the L.E 20 per night cute hotel,we went touring the temples around luxor.

after a comel breakfast on the rooftop of the comel hotel the next day,we travelled for 4 hours by van to aswan but stopped at karnak temple in luxor before.

3 am the next day,4 more hours of travelling to abu simbel.the sunrise scenery on the way there was superbly beautiful.

went back to cairo by the 16-hour train which cost L.E 102 only.
we extended our vacation for another day in cairo to accompany my friend sending her boyfriend to the airport.but before that,we went to giza for the pyramids and sphinx,and dream park.

overall budget to luxor and aswan :
if you're not an easy spender,L.E 800 is just nice(transportation,hotel and tour are included)
L.E 500 is for tansport,hotel and tour.
you just have to keep another L.E 300 with you for some shopping,lunch and dinner,and also,tickets to get into the temples.
the most expensive ticket is abu simbel where you can get L.E 48.50 for student price.

for an easy spender,ermm...just bring as much money as you can lah.huhu

what i achieved along the trip:
i met new people,made new friends and hopefully it will last long. :)
i learned new stuff.did you know that the temples in abu simbel are actually under the sea?huhu
i've tried new things.riding a camel is one of them.
i went to the book fair thrice this year.haha(siapa boleh kalahkan aku?haha)
i learned that travelling like what we see in lonely planet or destinasi bajet is actually not that ewwy afterall.
sadly,i didn't get sunburn.which is for me,it's like a sourvenir from there.haha(i'm weird,i know that.haha)
it's not about the luxury,or the comfy that you needed when you travel under budget,it's all about the experience.bila lagi nak experience things like this if not now,right?

overall,i like this whole 'just go and terjah or redah without any tour guide' trip,and will probably do it again next year.
and i like this year's winter break,it's better than last year's lah but abit dissapointed with the not so cold weather lah.huhu

just got back from my 1 week vacation in luxor,aswan,and abu simbel.
met new people,made new friends.
a fun vaca it was.a memorable one.
but,now is not the time to spill everything here as..

i havent receive the thousand photos from everybody yet.
the internet has gone effingly gila today.1 minute ok,the next minute dc.like hell la me in front of the lappy waiting for the internet.(nak cerita kat niksu pon tak sempat..miekk!)
and i effingly not feeling well.(whole body aching lah..perut miek-ing lah..etc)making me sleep whole day and my intention to study today was...not succeeded.another day spent emblessly.miek!!

will update about the vacation once i got everything i needed.

i still have 1 week of holidays left and it's time to pulun!!

damn it,i hate exams.can i have more cuti please?

miek - originally imitating the miek sound of a kitten.but now is widely used(by those who know je la) to show disappointment ,ketidaksukaan or to replace the censored cursing words.credits to kak hanis for inventing this word.

i've wasted my time in cairo sebab the pegawai selangor was not in,so i can't collect the cek from rumah selangor yet.damn it,nasib baik exam dah habis.grr

this time,the cairo trip was a little bit different.kami sahut cabaran nadia for her 'no cabs campaign'.

main transport: by walking or by bus sahaja.

did the mission accomplished?let's see..

from ramses to arma,took about 15 minutes walk,and by the instruction from a kind pakcik,and yes,we managed to hop in the bus to arma.

took a cab from arma to ma'rad kutub.
alasan: bus no 14 to ma'rad kutub stop dekat belakang,takut jauh nak beli tiket (konon).ok,alasan is acceptable lah (kot?)

heaven of buku murah.(weih cida,kau suke kan main tutup2 mata?hoho.)

2nd hand books at the back.seriously cheap.

met some chinese tourists there.chatted abit in mandarin(asked them where to buy the tickets je pon).my mandarin has gone utterly bad lah damn it!cis betul!
the chinese tourist guide speaks fluent arabic.which really surprises me right there and then.

4 hours of book shopping,we took a bus to city stars.also by the help of one of the kind cairo citizens there.

5 hours in city stars and we are ready to go back to arma.

'weih,balik baik ape?'

nadia:'naik cab lah.'

'(insert any type of gelak besar here) your so-called kempen taknak cab!'

nadia:'penat dohh..'

blame her hamsters' new box for making the kempen taknak cabs tak menjadi. :(

seriously,you can save a lot by taking bus instead of cabs.bermaksud,more money to shop!gahahaha.(no wonder my cairo friends didn't take cab and can live joyously there.dekat mansoura je orang tak naik bus or tremco or whatever,kami guna kaki ye?kaki.)

dan dannnn...
you can practice your arabic also.tiba2 lancar la pula bila tanya direction dekat pak2 arab.hoho.

keledek bakar yang saya takut nak cuba tahun lepas sebab..takut kotor kot?tapi rupa2nya sedap.hoho.

and,egyptians are very helpful when you need their help.sanggup jalan jauh-jauh just to show us where to take a bus.who says egyptians are sombong?

conclusions of this cairo trip:
it was a great new experience indeed after i live here for the 2nd year.
abang-abang (abang?erk..)arab atas bus pon not bad looking kot kadang2.wahaha :p

it's fun!alah,main redah je la if you don't know where to take a bus or takut-takut nak naik bus ke..ask the egyptians,they're nice.(kot?)
keledek bakar memang helwa awwi.
fine lah,aku selama ni jalan-jalan dalam cairo naik cab je..that's why jakun sikit bila tiba-tiba naik bus.


oh oh..my advice for those who wanted to stay in the 3 L.E per night at the transit room in arma,tolonglah bawa lihaf ke saratoga ke santamora ke morano gold ke..AT LEAST,bring your summer blanket.it's cold there during winter.trust me,i experienced sleeping without blanket there twice during winter.serious tak dapat tidur.(tu la, tak dengar kata lagi!)

so the pegawai selangor asked me to come again next week.haih.jom.

exam is over (for now) and i will head to cairo tomorrow to settle up some stuff in rumah selangor,and some book shopping at the annual ma'rad kutub (book fair).

no comments on the oral morphology practical exam today except for the sticky wax which was too lembik to contour it and the nervous me was so clumsy and too nervous till i actually menggigil while softening the wax.and i feel like you don't actually understand a word i'm saying pon kot?or do you?tak kisah la but i feel grateful that i got maxillary central incisor (gigi atas yang tengah2 sekali),which was for me,the easiest tooth to carve compare to the canine(gigi taring) that faridah got.

i've been away for too long till i don't know what to blog..

mid term exam is 90% finished for us,budak-budak gigi.still have 1 peperiksaan pembuatan gigi and 3 more killing papers to face,and no hoorays because immediately after that is our finals.ngeng,jadi budak gigi is tiring,u know?after winter break pon still mid term exam lagi.apekah la..

the busy me was too busy,so i only have pictures of eid-adha to share.no pictures taken since then (cukup pathetic tak?)

this is what we have to face everyday since last year.Kalau lecturer baik hati,he/she will make extra class for Malaysians only..or 50% english,50% arabic in the lecture itself(bersyukur~)

So why do we still attend the lecture even though we didn't understand anything?
like Kak Ainaz said,untuk berkat.Jangan sampai nanti tiba-tiba lecturer terasa hati sebab Malaysians tak datang.Kata Kak Ainaz lagi,nanti lecturer tu bermonolog dalaman 'penat-penat aku buat kelas,diorang menyombong tak nak datang'.
Then you wont get the berkat,and berkat is really important because you might actually fail your exam without that particular berkat.Dan siapa mahu gagal,betul?

we carved some gigi!maxillary central incisor,maxillary lateral incisor,mandibular central incisor..ahh senang2 saya kata gigi kacip tengah atas,gigi kacip kecil atas dengan gigi kacip tengah bawah.Kurang faham lagi?arrr...senyum,biar saya tunjukkan.hoho.

materials needed for carving gigi:pelita and minyak tanah (or simply,candle),carver,knife,lighter,small graph paper as measurer,wax blocks(black rounded wax) and special clothe(underneath everything).


after 1 to 2 hours of measuring and carving the rounded black wax blocks,it became something like these...

and this is..hehe..oreo..i bought it here(even though i brought 6 bungkus of them),it cost me L.E 3 for just 3 piece of cookies...but it tasted different.(menangis guling-guling)

if it wasn't for him,i doubt that i would get the chance to pass last semester.

as everybody knows,my classes last year (this year,still)were all in arabic,and we have no clue on what's going on in the lectures especially organic chemistry.And everytime we attend the fully arabic lectures..

Lucky us,our egyptian friends helped us alot throughout the whole year.Especially those who can speak english fluently,and introduce us some doctors who can help us.And Dr Ebraheem is one of them.

so,last week,after studying dental biomaterial with my study group friends,i called him.To my surprise,he still recognise me (and the rest).He invited us to come over for some homemade kusyairi .

apa khabar semua?ini merupakan update.

Rindu tahun lepas.Sebab semua orang duduk dekat-dekat.buka pintu,dah nampak orang yang dikenali.Sekarang,duduk jauh,tak dapat jumpa semua orang dah.Lagi-lagi menjadi seorang pelajar pergigian yang mempunyai schedule yang sangat hectic.

Rindu tahun lepas.Sebab bila habis kelas malam,boleh balik rumah,sebab semua rumah dekat-dekat.Balik rumah pada malam hari beramai-ramai tidak menakutkan.Study group boleh buat bila-bila saja.Kelas malam pon boleh attend semua tanpa risau apa-apa.Sekarang,bila sorang-sorang duduk jauh,susah nak bergerak.Ada kelas malam,kena fikir,balik nanti macamana?Apa cara yang bagus untuk balik rumah tanpa menyusahkan orang untuk teman?bila ada study group,kena fikir 2 3 kali samada mahu join.Sebab rumah jauh.penat tu satu,bahaya pon satu.Selalunya terpaksa menumpang rumah orang menunggu siang hari,baru boleh pulang ke rumah.tak seronok kan?

Bukannya tak suka rumah ni.Sayang rumah ni.Siapa tak sayang rumah yang dekat dengan kuliah dan hanya memerlukan 5 minit berjalan untuk sampai?Housemates yang terhebat sekali pernah dijumpai.Tapi cuma itu yang tidak memuaskan hati.Sorang-sorang duduk jauh.coursemates takda sorang pon duduk berdekatan.Bukannya tak ada orang melayu,ada tapi lain course.Musyrif pon malas kot nak teman balik rumah.haihh..

we went to the jamuan raya PERUBATAN the other day.with different venue,they did it open air at nadi muqawallun,hadiqah yabaniyah.great job,i must say!jamuan di tengah-tengah keindahan alam.nazrie, raihan's ex-singer was also there to give us some motivation and performed some songs.

after 3 days in cairo,we were back in Mansoura for intan's raya open house.

last 2 weeks,we did a ta'aruf programme for the dentistry juniors at istad.tujuan program sesi ta'aruf bersama junior : merapatkan silaturahim dan menutup segala jurang kepuakan.this year's ta'aruf has to be larger than last year's where the seniors just came and meet us and introduce themselves,that's it.no,we can't do that with 60 juniors.So,we did it formally,with intan as the emcee,and we wear blue for the day :)

So,saya nak tunjuk desktop saya macam niksu buat.Mine is..ermm..plain with schedule.Seronok,bangun pagi-pagi,buka laptop tgk schedule.tak perlu menyusahkan diri.haha

schedule tu belum complete lagi.We still have to find extra classes for biochemistry,oral histology and oral morphology.extra classes are coloured green.kan saya dah kata,saya busy.My only holiday is friday.terima kasih kepada pihak university yang resheduled everything dan kelas kembali kepada 6 hari seminggu untuk pelajar-pelajar pergigian.haih.
